Firstly, yes, I agree that WWE has already ruined Punk, but then again, that happens a lot, because God knows WWE can’t properly book anyone under 6 ft 5 and 250 pounds (at the very least).

His symbol is the Pepsi symbol. This is because, while many guys get tatoos of their favourite beer brands, Punk is straight-edge, and therefore uses the tatoo and symbol as a sort of parody of “beer worship”. If you haven’t watched Punk until ECW, you won’t have heard of the greatest finisher in proffessional wrestling today, the Pepsi Plunge, which is like a Pedigree off the top rope. He also uses many jujutsu holds and throws, such as the Anaconda Vice, which is one of the greatest submission maneuvers I’ve seen in a while.

Punk gained fame in IWA:Midsouth and in ROH (Ring of Honour). I didn’t watch Punk in IWA, but he is reputed to have many long and classical matches, including TLC matches and a 90 min 2-out-of-three-falls match with Chris Hero. In ROH, he was most famous for his fued with Samoa Joe, including a match Dave Meltzer gave five stars, making him the only person currently in the WWE aside from Shawn Michaels and the Undertaker to compete in such a match (there have only ever been four WWE matches given this award). The moment magnitude of the event was eventually estimated as 9.3, making it the second-largest earthquake since seismographs were invented around 1900.The shaking was felt throughout southeastern Asia and caused devastation in northern Sumatra and in the Nicobar and Andaman Islands. The local intensity reached IX on the 12-point Mercalli scale in the Sumatran capital of Banda Aceh, a level that causes universal damage and widespread collapse of structures. Though the intensity of shaking did not reach the maximum on the scale, the motion lasted for several minutes—the duration of shaking is the main difference between magnitude 8 and 9 events.
