The cyber world faces a growing epidemic these days. The suffering it causes increases almost daily. The rapid expansion of blogging and the habits of veteran Internet users has only caused it to grow more. The resulting pain is extensive.
The people who are blogging are discovering disappointment, dissatisfaction and in many cases, totally shutting down. Depression has its ups and downs, but there is no one among us who hasn't experienced its darker side. We are, of course, referring to depression blog.
A mood disorder called the "depression blog" affects many bloggers from different walks of life. During this time, a dreary disposition is expected coupled with the loss of enthusiasm for routine activities - including the internet. Many sufferers experience a feeling of despondence, discontentment, and melancholy and can easily be infuriated. The mood is quite contrary to the person's normal behavior/mood.
Social, occupational, educational and other important functioning is also negatively impaired by the change in mood. A depressed mood caused by substances like drugs, alcohol and medications is not considered a major depressive disorder, nor is one which is caused by a general medical condition.
Depression touches most people either directly or vicariously through those close to them. Misunderstanding is commonplace surrounding what constitutes depression. What differentiates the normal "blues" versus actual depression? Many are not able to discern the distinction. Additionally, within the realm of depression, there exists various forms. Failure to identify and address depression can be painful for both those suffering from it as well as those around them.
Depression is frequently characterized by a wide variety of symptoms such as constant sadness, anxiety, or emptiness, and the overwhelming conviction that things are hopeless. Those suffering from depression often feel guilty, worthless, and completely helpless. There is no more enjoyment to be found in former pastimes like surfing the internet or in socializing with relatives and acquaintances. Depression symptoms may be in the form of decreased appetite accompanied with weight loss or overeating with gaining weight. Other people experience decreased energy, tiredness, and an ongoing feeling of being slowed down. Irritability and restlessness are several symptoms that friends and family should be aware of. If adequate depression support is available, the depressed person can overcome the illness.
A person who is depressed also suffers difficulty in concentrating, remembering, and trouble making decisions. Sometimes, persistent physical symptoms that do not respond to traditional treatments like headaches, digestive disorders, and chronic pain etc can also be signs of a depressive illness. These people can also suffer from bouts of anxiety. If friends and family gives anxiety support, then it will be helpful to the depressed person.
Depression blog is an emotional condition affecting every sort of blogger at any stage in life. Someone suffering from a significant clinical depression is generally sad all the time and loses the enjoyment previously felt when engaging in various activities. Mood changes can affect many aspects of daily life. People also frequently misunderstand the various sorts of depression.
