Snakes and I just don’t jive, you know what I mean?

Despite learning from biologists like Dr. David Steen, whose incredible Twitter account showed me that snakes are not the enemy, I’d rather not have any in my immediate vicinity.

Fear of snakes is one of the most common phobias, perhaps stemming from our ancestors who didn’t have access to modern medicine and anti-venom when bitten. There are still people out there, however, who are perfectly comfortable with keeping them as pets…and with letting them slither around in their hair, apparently.
