She’s obviously working through some stuff. Maybe she’s doing what she’s always wanted to do and turning 50 made her realize now is the time to do what you want. You only live once.

Maria asks…

how can I put weight on and still be healthy?

I am a 29 year old mother of two. I barley weigh 100pds. I wear a size 0 in jeans. I can even wear girls large clothes. I feel like a child. It’s like my body doesn’t grow. I am allergic to p-nuts and choc. so please don’t advise me to eat them. I also eat a lot of fruit and veggies. I get a lot of cardio, like I said I’m a mom. I have tried powders, lifting weights, and even took a boot camp fitness, and I tried a nutritionist. Nothing works. The only time I am happy with my body is when I was prago. Any ideas would be great. Also I do take vitamins, and v-c tablets as well as some prenatal from my doc. What else can I do?

admin answers:

Concentrate on building up muscle. Look for a Personal Trainer with references in that area and try weights again.

Congrats on your healthy eating habits. Someone once suggested I try eating lots of bananas to put on weight as I normally weighed 95 lbs and didn’t fluctuate more than 2 lbs up or down. But I couldn’t gain weight until I hit menopause. Up until then I could eat half a pizza followed by a big banana split and not gain a pound.

Unfortunately you may also have to wait until menopause hits to get any significant weight. It’s partly a matter of genetics and metabolism. Take a look at other older female family members. There’s a joke that goes “if you want to know what a woman will look like when she’s older look at her mother”. That’s often true so I’d ask them when/how they gained weight.

I had a baby 4 months ago. This is my 3rd. I cant lose weight. Should I try a dite pill or not?

Okay so in a little more detail. I am 5′ and weigh 125. The doctors say that I should weigh 105. so I am 20lbs over weight. I have been on a strict diet since 6 weeks after having her. I know that with this being my 3rd baby in the last three years then it will/ would be hard but I haven’t lost one pound. I have been doing work out DVDs (that Boot camp fitness stuff). I don’t know what else to do. I know a few years ago when I had my second child. I seen that there was a ‘special’ diet pill that was made for women who had extra weight from having a baby. I don’t remember the name. I seen it at Walmart Any-who I don’t know if I should try a different pill or if anyone knows what the name of the other one is? or any other idea’s on how to lose this 20lbs. I feel so un healthy and not liking the way I look. it all in my stomach and Thighs. Go figure….. 😉

Continue to breastfeed and you can shed the weight.

For your height, your ideal weight is between 96 and 117lbs. You’re 8lbs above the range.

Slimming pills and teas do not help to lose weight effectively in the long term. The use of slimming products may lead to rapid weight loss initially. By and large, many slimming products contain substances that suppress the appetite, stimulate metabolism or induce drastic water loss from the body.

It is not safe to use these products without adequate medical supervision. Moreover, slimming products are usually expensive and do not help change the overweight individual eating and exercise habits, which are the root causes of weight gain. This makes the maintenance of weight loss difficult.

Becoming a mechanic in motor t in the marines then switching to infantry?

First off i have yet to take the asvab or physical. I was wondering if i should join motor t in the automotive mechanic division then switch to infantry or vice versa? A couple main reasons i wanna become a mechanic is so i can do something out of the marine corp when im done, like becoming a diesel mechanic, and also working on those big ass trucks. And i definately dont wanna be just infantry and turn into a cop. I hear motor t can get really boring and i really wanna experience combat and earn that title. I know you get the title marine but i dont just wanna do all that work just to be a mechanic.
So really the main thing is weather i should become an automotive mechanic and go to boot camp in august or september then eventually switch my mos to infantry or the opposite. If i would do infantry i would have to wait till october to enlist and would have no idea when boot camp is. But atleast itll give me more time to increase my physical fitness being that i can only do 6 pull ups…

admin answers:

Even if you become a mechanic..guess what? Other than some experience it will not mean sh*t in civilian world (other than at an unlicensed mom&pop shop at minimum wage) without a license and certification. Which you can get using your GI Bill.

You want Infantry…go Infantry.
