Ruth asks…

Which Jillian Michael’s DVD’s is better for quick weight loss?

I want to lose 15 pounds by June so I’m ready for swim suit weather. I eat right already, walk all day at work and I do Zumba for the Wii whenever I get a chance. But that isn’t enough. I have 2 Jillian Michaels DVD‘s. 30 Day Shred and No More Trouble Zones. Which one will give me fast results? I will still be doing Zumba along with this. Thank you 🙂

admin answers:

I actually like Jillian’s kickboxing DVDs…she has 2: Cardio Kickbox and Kickbox Fastfix – kickboxing is great for burning calories, and Jillian has pretty good DVDs 🙂

Weight loss results from Zumba?

I want a Zumba DVD for Christmas and I was just wondering how much weight can you lose if you do Zumba for an hour a day? Thank you in advance 🙂

admin answers:

1 yes your gonna lose weight with Zumba if you exercise seriously.. And #2 its hard to say and would depend on your diet as well… Weight loss is primarily with the eating, secondary is the exercise..

Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred Results?

So, I’m thinking of doing the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred (I was going to do the P90X but my goals are more towards weight loss, not muscle gain), and I was wondering what everybody’s results were. Please include your original weight and your age. Thanks!

Hey there 🙂
I bought that DVD at the beginning of last summer. As with anything, if you persist and keep at it with a healthy balanced diet then you will lose weight.

A few years ago I didn’t have to eat right to look lean and I didn’t have to exercise, however I gained some weight and had to work it off. I had to force myself to eat right as I have a distaste for vegetables and exercise. The DVD works as does any, it helped me shed some pounds but not really in the right areas, off my stomach and legs. If you want to lose weight and tone up I think that dance work out DVDs are the best for toning up and losing weight.

Hope this helps. It is well worth the money you pay for the dvd, I personally like Zumba

Maria asks…

Has anyone tried the Zumba DVD’s?

I’m considering buying them, and I wanted to know if they are effective for weight loss. So if you have tried them, what were your results?

admin answers:

Its unbelievable, i recommend it

Also I prefer you buy the dvds from amazon, because they are very affordable

Nancy asks…

How can i lose weight?

I’m 14, 5ft 11″ and i weigh 10 stone 3 pounds (144lbs)
I’ve never been completely contempt with my weight. I guess that i always compare myself to the other girls in my school and they all have really flat stomachs and then there’s me. I just want an exercise routine and specific foods i can eat that can help me lose a few pounds. I would also like to know what foods i should be avoiding.

I have tried many different routines of sit ups, jack knifes, plank, and those sorts of things, but i can never stick with any of it because i tend to find it a bit boring. I know that results will all start to show in a few months time if you do it every day, but i was never really that dedicated enough.

I’ve always enjoyed dance and running and at home a i have a few pieces of work out stuff. I have exercise balls, Zumba DVD‘s, a stepper, a tredmill, and a cross stepper worker thing.

It would be amazing if you could suggest an exercise routine and foods that would benefit me and tone me up and help me lose weight. I really appreciate it! x..

Ok, do you said you find exercise boring? Well, that’s because you’re doing boring exercises. You’d be surprised at how many different fun ways to exercise there is. If you like to dance, just turn up your music and dance your a** off for an hour each day…or if you like to play basketball, get some friends and play basketball after school. You see, exercise is not supposed to be boring, because then, as you said, you will get bored and quit. Instead, exercise should fast paced, fun and engaging. However, you will also have to do some basic fat burning exercises. Some exercises I would recommend would be:
-Crunches – they work the upper abs and make a great “mini-workout”. Try to do no more than 50-100 each day because they are more for building muscle, and not burning fat.
-V-ups – v-ups work the lower abs and are good fir burning fat quickly, however you will need to do some sort of muscle building exercise for your lower abs too.
-Leg lifts – leg lifts can be your muscle building part of your ab workout.
-squats – squats are great for building leg and thigh muscles.
-lunges – lunges, along with squats, are fir building muscle of the legs.
So, now that you have a general idea of exer uses, let’s talk about your diet. Your diet is ESSENTIAL when trying to lose weight. What you must do, is eat less calories than you burn. When you eat MORE calories than you burn, there will be some calories left over, and they will be stored on your body as fat. Furthermore, if you eat less calories than you burn, your body automatically start burning fat, when it has no more calories to burn. So, basically just watch how many calories you are consuming and be sure you have a general idea of how many you eat/burn daily so you know how many less you have to eat. Also, try to cut back on fat or fatty foods. Here is a list if foods that you should e avoid eating:
-fatty or “heavy” meats such as beef, pork etc.
-greasy or processed foods such as chips, butter, pre made meals and just about anything that comes pre-made or packaged.
-try to avoid foods with a high amount of unhealthy sugars such as cookies, soda, candy and things of that sort.
What you SHOULD be eating:
-5 servings of fruits and veggies each day
-A LOT of water (8 glasses each day is recommended)
-whole grain bread
-nuts and beans (they are a good source if fatty acids that your body needs to function properly)
So, yeah. Just make sure you are on a realistic but strict diet and exercise plan and you will be looking great in no time! However, I would like to warn you about all the weight loss bullsh*t there is on the market, such as pills and other gimmicks: DON’T FALL FOR THEM. THEY ARE BULLSHIT!!!!! I just can’t emphasize enough, especially to girls of your age, how bad those can actuallly be for your body…anyways, hope this helps!

Good luck!
