Technically speaking, Media Matters’ Eric Boehlert did not use the word “gutless” to describe the former special forces officers who appear in a 22-minute video criticizing President Obama for taking too much credit for the killing of Osama bin Laden. His tweet from yesterday clearly shows he said they “don’t have guts.”

A day later, Boehlert claims the backlash against him is the product of “mindless fabrication and distortion” by the right wing media.

The Left has long charged that conservatives “don’t do nuance.” Please stop being irresponsible by misinterpreting the highly nuanced Boehlert.
