Personalization Mall (http://personalchristmasgifts.com/visit/Personalization_Mall) has a really nice pewter Choo-Choo Train Bank that comes with his name engraved on it. They also have a personalized name train toy.

Personal Creations (http://personalchristmasgifts.com/visit/Personal_Creations) has a train art canvas and other train stuff to put on his wall. They also have a personalized Sponge Bob pillow case.

If your brother likes Santa, this is my favorite gift for a child his age. A Personal package from Santa (http://personalchristmasgifts.com/visit/Package_From_Santa). It comes with a personalized letter from Santa Claus, personalized “Nice List” certificate, a signed picture of Mr. & Mrs. Claus, a letter from Rudolph, a piece of Santa’s magical suit, “magic” north pole snow (add water and watch it grow – non-toxic), real reindeer food in a collector’s tin and reindeer pouch, and really nice packaging addressed to him and postmarked from the north pole. I have bought this for my nephew and he absolutely loved it. Check this out at the link above.

Mary asks…

What sort of visa do I need to go to Canada or USA for the summer?

Id like to go over to either, to work in a bar or a funfair or something for the summer. Any help is appreciated. I’m Irish if that makes a difference. Cheers

admin answers:

No such visa for that type of work

There are basically NINE ways that you can get a visa to live and work in the US:

(1) Marriage (or engagement in anticipation of marriage) to a US citizen.

(2) You have skills that are in short supply in the US e.g. Scientific or medical training. A degree is normally a must. Or you have superior specialist skills with at least 12 years experience. (H visas)

(3) You have an Employer who is willing to transfer you – but even the employer has to make a good case for you – so you have to be a manager unless you fall under category (2) above.(L visas)

(4) You may get a Green card in the diversity lottery (UK citizens, except N.Ireland, are not generally eligible unless you, your spouse or parents were born abroad or held a different citizenship.

(5)You own or buy business (does not get you permanent resident status i.e. No green card)You must be a national of a qualifying Treaty countries. The business must have a minimum value of around $150k (more the better) bearing in mind you will need somewhere to live and with any startup business you will need at least 2 years living money as back up. So a figure of $350k would be a nearer minimum (E-2 visas)

(6)You are an “investor” i.e. You have at least US $1m in assets to bring with you. Half of that in a few areas. And your background will be investigated to the hilt. (EB-5 visas)

(7)You have a close relative (mother, father, brother, sister and no further) who is an US citizen who would sponsor you, approx time this take 2-12 years?

(8.The R1 visa is available to foreign members of religious denominations, having bona fide non-profit religious organizations in the U.S., for entering the U.S. To carry on the activities of a minister or religious worker as a profession, occupation or vocation

(9)THE UNUSUAL You are in a position to claim refugee status/political asylum. Or You get a member of Congress to sponsor a private bill with legislation that applies just to you.
The S visa issued to persons who assist US law enforcement to investigate and prosecute crimes and terrorist activities such as money laundering and organized crime

Recruitment agent will not take you seriously if you are not already in the US. Writing for jobs is really a waste of time; likewise US employers have no idea what foreign qualification are or mean (except Degrees) it may pay you to get your qualification translated into a US equivalent, there are Companies that do this (www.wes.org) ..
But if you are getting a visa under (2) above then you need a job offer before you can get the visa. Your Employer will be your sponsor this will cost them upward of $5k. So you can see you have to be offering something really special to get considered They may also have to prove to the Dept of labor that there is no American who can do the job if the position is to be permanent ©

Sandra asks…

What do you think my Coosa/Conclusive horse is built for?

My new Gelding is Coosa, Doc Bar Conclusive bred. I am trying t decide what way to go w/him. He is a quick mover and backs like a champ. His brother is western pleasure halter but he seems like a little more of a work horse. He is my profile picture and needs some weight we are working on that. Any suggestions on what he might be built for??
I do not know how to add pictures sorry!

admin answers:

Coosa, Conclusive and Doc Bar are all Halter horses. Just from that, I would say your horse is halter bred.

Doc Bar however was bred to be a race horse, he also was a cutting horse.

Coosa has Impressive in his pedigree, and Conclusive’s sire was Impressive as well, which makes me ask this, has your gelding been tested for HYPP?

If your horse is a quick mover, I would probably steer away from WP. I would stay western with him. Try different western disciplines with him, cutting, halter, reining, barrels etc to see what he does best at. What has he had training for, if he has had training?

Those pull up bars are VERY strong. It would be a good idea to get some one pretty strong to put it up. My dad and brother put one up and its been u for years. It lasted him through Navy Seals training. I’m sure it will work great for you.

Nancy asks…

How to do an arm bar?

I tried doing an arm bar on my friend but still he feel no pain.

admin answers:

Ask your instructor, he’ll show you the proper technique.

If you aren’t training you have no reason to know how to apply an arm bar. From a safety and legal stand point you don’t want to be trying martial arts techniques on friends without guidance and proper training. You can cause serious injury and even death.

There was a case in my area a couple years ago where a few boys were “practicing” Karate at home and one of the boys had his younger brother stand in to receive the technique. One punch to the chest and the child died. Not a very expected reaction but still a tragic one that should have been avoided.

You are completely liable for any injuries you may cause your friend when you are playing. He may not want to press charges but his parents or guardians probably don’t want to have to pay the hospital bills when Jr. Is getting his elbow rebuilt and screwed back together.

Play fighting is one thing. Martial arts have serious consequences when used inappropriately. Be smart and join a proper martial arts class or stick to tag and hide-n-go-seek.
